What a lovely and fitting service today - not the send off Harry would have chosen but he will be remembered by many, in so many ways. I first met Harry after my Dad, Ron, started to spend an inordinate amount of time with him. Breakfast meetings here, lunches at The Retreat there... Mum used to joke that she thought there was something going on!! They certainly had lots in common and Dad would help Harry with computer based tasks in return for beans on toast (Diane was still working, otherwise it would have been a 3 course meal!)
Before I was married in 2010, I was baptised - Harry was the obvious choice to stand up to the role of Godfather... I know Dad had asked Harry at the end of his life to keep an eye on us and he certainly did that - caring and loyal, full of time to listen and chat, a catalogue of funny tales, and if a job is worth doing then it was done well - I know the arrangement would have been reciprocated.
Sending much love to Grant, Lisa, Stacey and the rest of the family. Comfort for sure knowing the ‘dream team’ will be reunited.
