Told to us by Harry.

Harry told a small group of us at New Court, this story, and made us all laugh. Typical of Harry, that he told a story slightly against himself.
Story as follows.

Harry had done very well in the Banking world, and had made many friends, and was often invited to meetings at other branches. He was going to one of the area meetings and arrived early at the bank, where one of the staff apologised that their Manager hadn’t arrived yet, and she was surprised because he usually came early. Harry said ‘Not to worry’ and he was asked to sit in the Manager’s office, and was given a drink, and the newspaper to read. Ten minutes later the secretary came in to say she had looked at her manager’s diary, and he had an appointment at the bank over the road.

Harry suddenly realised, he was in the wrong bank. He apologised, grabbed his belongings, and rushed to the right bank.

We miss him very much. Judy and Paul Etheridge.
